About Jugger and PAJA:

What is Jugger?

Jugger is a team sport best described as a cross between Fencing and Rugby. It's really great fun!

How do you play Jugger?

Jugger is played with two teams of five players armed with foam weapons called "spars" or "pompfen".

Where did Jugger come from?

Believe it or not, Jugger was inspired by a 1989 film from Australia. Now it's played all over the world!

What is PAJA?

The Philadelphia Area Jugger Alliance is just the name given to our nascent and informal group. Maybe it'll be something real someday! Join us and have fun!

Who can join?

Anyone with the interest and ability to play Jugger is welcome to participate. We gladly welcome all interested players and also have other non-player roles available such as referees and timekeepers.

What do I need to play?

To start with, just show up ready to learn and have fun. We've got extra equipment (including spars) for anyone interested in playing matches or even just training together.
